Q.13 Should I put the sea freight Insurance ? Part.1
A.13 There is a necessity for multiplying the cargo Insurance
so that the shipper may defend oneself about the part of the
marine transport risk.
It is transported from a warehouse to the ship-side in the local place, and of course
when the freight is exported, their each conditions are various,
then the freight is loaded into the ship and sent to foreign countries.
The cargo will pass various way until extending to an oversea's party, that are trucked
transshipped, are kept in the warehouse, and etc., there are a risk of the accident
respectively.
Then, why does the shipping cargo have the necessity for insurance, especially for the
part of the maritime transport by the ship?
Since when the accident actually was occured, usually the tracking and the warehouse
company both can do compensation for damages to the customer by their insurance.
However, how while ..ship.. transporting it in case of the occurring accident.
The part where the liability becomes an immunity is considerably large
by the shipping company.
As for the majority amount of the damage, if the accident with damage occurred by the sea
or the ship-side, thinking that you cannot compensate it from the shipping company.
Therefore, there is a necessity for multiplying the cargo insurance so that the shipper
and or consignee may defend oneself about the part of marine transport risk.
